[EnergyPlus_Support] illuminance and daylight control

Dear group,

I was wondering if a daylight control can be placed outside from a thermal zone. The error report mention it as a warning, but the simulation goes on. The strange thing is that I get values of illuminance smaller than if I place the daylight control inside the thermal zone (a room with opaque surfaces and one window).
Thank you in advance for your time,
Alessandro

ps: in case the daylight control has to stay inside a thermal zone, there is any way to make totally transparent surfaces? Maybe just using windows with solar and visible trasmittance = 1....
