Windows do not open or close in energyplus.
However, the venting and or infiltration objects which can simulate air flows through open windows can be turned on or off using schedules.
The same is principally true for crack objects in an AirFlowNetwork. The standard AFN objects include a degree of control (for example the window modulation in relation to indoor and outdoor temperatures, and or wind velocities, amongst others).
For both methods, schedules can be manipulated with self written control logic using the EMS objects, if more controls are required.
