Seems that the problem has to do with the newest version of sketchup....

It sounds like you may also have the newer version of OpenStudio that uses an OSM model vs. an IDF file installed as well. In the OSM model geometry is contained in a space, and then one or more spaces are assigned to a group. If you are using both the legacy version of OpenStudio (that uses IDF files) and the newer OSM based OpenStudio, you can switch back and forth between them in SketchUp.Under the plugin menu you should see "Select OpenStudio Version". Change it to "Legacy OpenStudio 1.x" and then restart SketchUp. If that doesn't work, then send an email to OpenStudio@... and we can figure out what is happening.
