RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Power Load Ratio > 1

I doubt that E+ cares, but it’s easy to try it out and see for yourself!

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Power Load Ratio > 1

Dear EnergyPlus Users,

when using the Fan:VariableVolume model, EnergyPlus requires us to input a fourth order polynomial curve giving the fraction of full load power (PLF) as a function of flow fraction (FF).

Anyone knows what EnergyPlus does when the PLF calculated by the function is above 1. Would values greater than 1 be replaced by 1 or would it be according to the function.

Regards,

Adrian
