[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: fixed pulse HVAC size + thermostat w/hysteresis

James,

Yes, I am using a 1 minute time steps which should provide enough resolution to look at the HVAC being on or off without E+ cumulating the HVAC output from steps into a curve. I'm hoping to find the right settings to get realistic single stage HVAC on/off behavior without the simulation acting like it can get a partial load input from the HVAC system. I need to see a square wave looking output where the HVAC output is neither above or below its capacity (like I see now).

Also I am just looking for basic thermostat simulation, with hysteresis (that every thermostat has had since the invention of the hourglass mercury switch!). I don't even see hysteresis referred to in a search of the I/O reference. Is there a workaround or something I'm missing?

thanks,

Troy Harvey
