Dear Santiagolooking the .svg of the example file i was arrived at the same conclusion and in effect I've tried to model the system using a water heater heat pump and a chiller (with fancoil) and..it's running.Thank you for your help!I hope that is similar do that also with radiant panels...i will try..but I'm not sure!Best regardsCamilla Quercia2014/1/9 Santiago Velez <santiagogvelez@xxxxxxxxx>
Dear Camila,I ran into the same situation a couple of times, an 'air to water heatpump for cooling and heating'. My approach was to model a separate water loop for heating and cooling. On the heating loop I used the heatpump arrangement that you described (the one on HeatPumpWaterHeater.idf in the example files) and on the cooling loop just and air cooled chiller. I'am not aware you are able to do all of that with just with one heatpump object. Just make sure you are not heating and cooling at the same time different parts of the building.... unless your system is able to do that.Happy to help with what I can.Best regards,Santiago.2014/1/9 <camilla.quercia@xxxxxxxxx>Dear usersI once again need your experienceI have to create an electric heat pump AIR TO WATER for heating and cooling.I've tried using "Water heater heat pump" and its idf. sample file but I'm not able to use the same pump for cooling and heating.in effect when i tried to simulate this error accurred** Warning ** Node used as an inlet more than once: RESID_HPWHWATERINLETNODE** ~~~ ** Used by : BRANCH, name=HPWH RESID RISC HW BRANCH** ~~~ ** as inlet for: WATERHEATER:HEATPUMP, name=RESIDHEATPUMPWATERHEATER** ~~~ ** and by : BRANCH, name=HPWH RESID RAFFR HW BRANCH** ~~~ ** as inlet for: WATERHEATER:HEATPUMP, name=RESIDHEATPUMPWATERHEATERhow should I do?it's possibile in E+ have only one heat pump (air to water) both for heating and cooling?or i have to create two theoretical heat pumps?i have to use that with fancoil in one situation and with radiant panel in an other one. Thanks in advanceCamilla Quercia--Camilla Quercia
