[EnergyPlus_Support] Insulating shading

Hello, 
i'm trying to create a shade that can be closed during the night so to keep the heat inside.
The shade i created has a tickness of 0,2 m and a lamda of 0.035 W/mK but it looks like the heat loss doesn't change if it is open or not. Can anyone help me please?
