No, the models represent typical buildings found in the US. So, the Medium Office prototype has an HVAC system that is typical for that building type. Its construction is also typical of medium-sized office buildings. Same for other properties.
If you want to look at how different HVAC systems are modeled, maybe the EnergyPlus example files are a better resource. They are in the folder where EnergyPlus is installed.
