[EnergyPlus_Support] Cool roof in Simergy
Hello,
I am trying to model a naturally ventilated building using EnergyPlus with Simergy on the front end. To bring down hours of discomfort, I am trying to put a roof that has low thermal absorptance.
However, with or without using this modified roof for construction, the hours of discomfort do not change. I thing I observed is among the properties, absorptance is not in bold and hence (as the user manual states) EnergyPlus does not require the value to run the simulation. Is this why I am not getting any difference in temperature predicted over different hours?
Please advise.
