You will need to simplify your geometry.  E+ uses plane surfaces, so curves must be collections of rectangles or triangles.  Same is true for domes.  If you draw a circle in Sketchup, you actually get a collection of straight line segments.  You could extrude a circle and connect the segments to make a â??roundâ?? space or you could make your own straight line segments and have more control over the angle that they face.

Hi all,

 

I am a newbie to EnergyPlus so this may sound like a very basic question:

I wanted to know how a rotunda can be constructed with EnergyPlus? Does EnergyPlus cover circular floorplans? I am not sure if this can be done with Sketch-up. Any suggestions?
