To expand a little bit, I looked at my library content on elevators, and here are some papers you might want to read: .

This ACEEE 2005 paper is a good intro.

Al-Sharif, L., R. Peters, and R. Smith. 2004. â??Elevator Energy Simulation Model.â?? Elevator World, November, 108??11, here

"Empirical Prediction of Office Building Lift Energy Consumption", Bannister 2011, here

(maybe this master thesis by Toni Tukia, "Determining and modeling the energy consumption of elevators", 2014. I haven't had the courage nor the time to read it in full so I cannot tell you how relevant it is to your question but could be worth a look).

Hi Ivan,

Traffic modeling can be done with Elevate (Peters Research) for example.
If you're only looking for a rough estimate, manufacturers of elevator and/or drives (Thyssenkrup, Magnetek, etc) often have an online calculator.
