If I understand you properly, I think it may be that a VRF system inherently has no ability to introduce outdoor air.  You must add it via some other system like a DOAS

All VRF systems have the output with external air flow zero. I do not know what the problem is.

I used the example file VariableRefrigerantFlow_5Zone.idf, and even then the outside air is zero.

Does anyone know the source of the problem?
