[EnergyPlus_Support] what's the difference between "incident solar radiation rate per area" and "solar radiation heat gain rate"?
I have the following output values for a given exterior surface:
SURFACE
180:Surface Outside Face Incident Solar Radiation Rate per Area
[W/m2](Hourly) |
28.3352952 |
SURFACE
180:Surface Outside Face Solar Radiation Heat Gain Rate [W](Hourly) |
178.5123598 |
SURFACE
180:Surface Outside Face Solar Radiation Heat Gain Energy [J](Hourly) |
642644.4951 |
SURFACE 180 total area (include window)
[m2] |
15 |
SURFACE 180 total area (without window)
[m2] |
9 |
It seems that "
Surface Outside Face Incident Solar Radiation Rate per Area" is not equal to "Surface Outside Face Solar Radiation Heat Gain Rate" divided by the area of the surface, either it's 15m^2 or 9m^2.
So, may I ask what do the two output variables actually mean, and what's the difference between them?
Thank you!
