The 86 CZ2010 weather files were developed by White Box Technologies on contract to the California Energy Commission in 2011 for use in Title-24 compliance calculations as well as other solar applications, and replace the previous set of 16 CZ02 weather files that date back to the late 1970's. The period of record was kept short at 12 years (1998-2009) to better reflect the current climate, combining surface observations from NCDC's Integrated Surface Hourly Database (ISH) with satellite-derived solar radiation from Clean Power Research. The CZ2010 weather files are available at no cost at http://weather.whiteboxtechnologies.com and come in four formats: *.CSV, *.FIN4, *.EPW, and *.BINM. Recently, the design day files for EnergyPlus have been updated and expanded to include both annual (*.DDY) as well as monthly (*.DDM) design days. http://weather.whiteboxtechnologies.com/wd-CZ2010 uses GoogleEarth© to search for CZ2010 file locations. Search by List is also available at http://weather.whiteboxtechnologies.com/search .
