Keep in mind that shape does not matter at all for energy transfer unless you are also doing daylighting control (just area).  Also, you can approximate any shape using rectangles or triangles.

Ah yes, you can either have a triable or a rectangle and that is it.
Any window that has 4 vertices MUST be rectangle.
If you have a window with 4 sides that isn't rectangle, cut it into 2 triangles
