I can only give brief guidance before boarding an airplane for a long flight.

• As you know , E+ files are text.  You can copy the spreadsheet curve objects as text into your IDF
  
• Each installation of E+ comes with a folder of Example Files.  The same folder also contains either a spreadsheet or an HTML link to reference files with a listing of where individual objects are used within the example files. (e.g., ExampleFiles-ObjectsLink.html)
• All of the examples files have been tested and work correctly,  If you follow the structure of the examples in your own IDF, you can generally make your file work.
• In your case, focus on the Coil objects and the curves they reference.
