Yes, it's used by the HVAC-Diagram.exe to create a svg file, which you should also get as a result.

SVG files are best viewed using a proper vector graphics software and not just internet explorer. I use Inkspace, which is free.



For information, the HVAC diagram's default location is here:
"C:\EnergyPlusV8-3-0\PostProcess\HVAC-Diagram.exe"

Final Energyplus simulation gives a .bnd file. In the file it says 


This file is also intended to support software which draws a

! schematic diagram of the HVAC system.


So does anybody knows of any such software. Please share a link
