The schematic below may be helpful as a means if visualizing what you are creating for an air loop. I started using this in my early attempts to use EnergyPlus and still find it helpful.
- An airloop branch normally contains all of the energy components shown in the top portion of the schematic. I've shown an example "Branch" object below for an air loop. You do not need all of the components; choose those that apply to your system.
- The zone equipment is configured a bit differently, as shown in the bottom part of the schematic. I recommend looking at the example files that are provided with E+ to see which objects are used and how they interact.
- The GUIs such as DesignBuilder and Open Studio / Sketchup make this a lot easier for you to create.
