You have shown a schedule, so I don't know which eletric equipment object you're using...
 I recommend using ExteriorEquipment instead of ElectricEquipment.  this will add to the electricity use, but that power will not affect the HVAC system.  This is the object used commonly for parking lot lighting, but can be used for other purposes.

Shouldn't the above equipment's power simply add to the building's original demand? Simulation results do not show this. The building's demand is coming out higher  than the  original building demand plus the equipment power. Please if anyone can explain.
