I have integrated the packaged ice storage model available in EnergyPlus example file "RetailPackagedESCoil" into my building. The ice storage system is autosized and I have retained all the performance curves and default values.

From the simulation results, I observe that when the ice storage system is in discharge only mode there is some power consumption by the HVAC system. This power consumption is by fans, pumps and the cooling coils. Why are the cooling coils consuming power during the discharge only mode?
