You may calculate the frame and edge U factor as one and input the same for E+ simulation, unless the window edge is not differently designed as one. Try to consider the input factors as robust  enough. 

I/o would be same for glazed part.

I am used to the overall window U-factor being calculated from three areas of the window ? frame U-factor, edge U-factor and COG U-factor. The areea weighted average of these three factors calculates the overall window U-factor. EnergyPlus has inputs for frame U-factor and glass U-factor.
