[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Call for IDF Editor Suggestions
I have another suggestion regarding sorting in IDF editor.
There are currently 3 save options
> Sorted
> Original with new at top
> Original with new at bottom
'Sorted' currently groups objects of the same class together, places them in the order they were found in the IDF and sorts by class.
Would it be possible to have another sorted option where in addition to grouping objects together and sorting by class, objects are sorted alphanumerically within a class by object name?
This would make using text compare software easier and more effective while comparing two IDFs with complex changes that were made in a text editor.
