[EnergyPlus_Support] What would you like the EnergyPlus team to work on this upcoming year?

Are you an EnergyPlus user? Are there things you want to see added/removed/changed in the product? Now is your chance to tell us and help us plan our work for the upcoming year (Oct. 2016-Sep 2017)!


This past fall DOE launched a UserVoice feature request site for EnergyPlus. The site is available at https://energyplus.net/ under the feedback tab or directly at https://energyplus.uservoice.com/. The EnergyPlus team uses this site to gather and prioritize new features from users, vendors, and the team itself. You can browse existing feature proposals, comment on them, help refine them, and vote them up. If you have an idea for a new or modified feature, we encourage you to search existing entries to see if the proposal has already been made.



The EnergyPlus Development Team will meet on Jun. 25 to plan new feature work for the upcoming year. Information from the UserVoice site will be used to prioritize and allocate tasks. To clarify, the UserVoice site (or something sufficiently like it) will be up and open for business from here out and you can provide feedback whenever something comes to mind. But providing this feedback now increases the chances that your high-priority feature will be allocated resources up front and won't have to "fight" for resources that may or may not free up mid-year.


The EnergyPlus feedback site is accessible using your https://energyplus.net/ account, which also provides access to https://openstudio.net/ and the OpenStudio UserVoice site, you guessed it ... https://openstudio.uservoice.com/.
