Jonathan,

Assuming that you mean the "Indoor Pool Evaporative Heat Loss Rate [W]" report variable and that "Cover Evaporation Factor" is not = 0, then your results seem clearly to be incorrect.

I recommend that you send your file to the Help Desk for review.Â The swimming pool object is relatively new and may need some refinement.

p.s., It is a sign of a good modeler that he checks the results carefully. Good work!

Has anyone use the indoor swimming pool ?
I'm trying to simulate an indoor door and work out the effect of pool cover on evaporation rate.
When you look at the variable (indoor Pool evaporation Heat Loss energy) after adjusting the pool cover schedule ( pool cover on from 8pm to 6am and pool cover off from 6am to 8 pm). There is no effect on the indoor Pool evaporation Heat Loss energy variable. You can adjust the pool cover scheduleÂ anyway you want but the indoor Pool evaporation Heat Loss energy variable stay exactly the same.
I think it only works when the pool cover is on 24 hr then the the indoor Pool evaporation Heat Loss energy variable is zero.
I have attached the example swimming pool idf file. Can someone fix that error?
