Assuming that you mean "annual energy use" for "results", that sounds correct.  The DesignDays are used to size equipment, while the weather file is used for annual energy calculations.

I think there should be small differences in energy use when using different DesignDays dues to the varying impact of part load performance curves, but a few degrees difference in the DesignDay won't affect the energy use very much.

Dear all, 

I am running a set of simulations in order to compare the difference between the cooling loads for a building with different SummerDesignDay objects according to in-situ measurements for the actual climatic conditions. I have changed the Maximum Dry-Bulb Temperature but there is no difference in the results. 
Any tips?
