Hmmmm... No new ideas. I have used the Fault objects very little, so I cannot help further other than to suggest posting the same question on UnmetHours.com. There are probably some people there who may be able help.Another possibility is to submit a ticket to the Help Desk. I suspect that you are one of a very small number of people who are using that object and it may not have been tested fully regarding the Output:Variable.p.s., I commend you for thoroughly checking results. On Mon, Dec 5, 2016 at 4:20 PM, Ying Yan <ying.yan@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:Hello Jim,Thank you very much for your suggestion. Now I observed the "System Node Temperature" of the outdoor air node asOutput:Variable,  Air Loop AHU2 AHU/1 Outdoor Air Inlet,  !- Key Value  System Node Temperature ,!- Variable Name  Timestep;         !- Reporting FrequencyHowever, there is no difference between this output variable and "Site Outdoor Air Drybulb Temperature" which is directly obtained from the weather file.Do you have any other suggestions?Thank you.On Mon, Dec 5, 2016 at 12:08 PM, Jim Dirkes <jim@buildingperformanceteam.com > wrote:I suspect that the output:Variable you chose is taken directly from the weather file. I suggest that you try the "System Node Temperature" for the outdoor air node name where the error is applied. On Mon, Dec 5, 2016 at 11:15 AM, Ying Yan ying.yan@xxxxxxxxx [EnergyPlus_Support] <EnergyPlus_Support@yahoogroups.com > wrote:Dear All,I simulated offset of outdoor air temperature sensor in "FaultModel:TemperatureSensorOffset:OutdoorAir" as  FaultModel:TemperatureSensorOffset:OutdoorAir,   OATFault,         !- Name  ALWAYS_ON,        !- Availability Schedule Name  OATSeveritySch,      !- Severity Schedule Name  Controller:OutdoorAir,  !- Controller Object Type  VAV_1_OA_Controller,   !- Controller Object Name  2.0;           !- Temperature Sensor Offset {deltaC}where the schedule "OATSeveritySch" isSchedule:Compact,  OATSeveritySch,      !- Name  On/Off,          !- Schedule Type Limits Name  Through: 8/19,      !- Field 1  For: AllDays,       !- Field 2  Until: 24:00,       !- Field 3   0,            !- Field 4  Through: 8/20,      !- Field 5  For: AllDays,       !- Field 6  Until: 24:00,       !- Field 7   1,            !- Field 8  Through: 12/31,      !- Field 9  For: AllDays,       !- Field 10  Until: 24:00,       !- Field 11   0;            !- Field 12However, I found that theÂOutput:Variable,  *,            !- Key Value  Site Outdoor Air Drybulb Temperature ,  !- Variable Name  Hourly;          !- Reporting Frequencyhas no change. In other words, there is no offset in this output variable.May I know the reason? Your answer will be very appreciated.--Best RegardsYing YanGraduate StudentElectrical & Computer EngineeringSchool of EngineeringUniversity of Connecticut--James V Dirkes II, PE, BEMP, LEED AP
