I have not modeled an ice rink, but would love to try. (when I have lots of time to investigate the various unique aspects of cold surfaces in a conditioned area)

I've attached some reference materials that may help.

I am hoping to get some direction for modeling an ice arena with EnergyPlus. It is a typical ice plant (brine loop in the concrete under the ice, warm water loop adjacent the soil under the rink to prevent freezing). Condenser heat recovery for the warm water loop, pre-heating DHW and for the snow-melt pit. There is a desiccant dehumidier to maintain the RH.

Any pointers, papers, etc. appreciated.
