I suggest using the EMS objects and E+ Runtime language Built in functions to build a custom variable.
You should use "EndOfZoneTimestepBeforeZoneReporting.", call that variable, apply your conversion operations and create another custom variable upon.
The EMS guide and the InputOutput guide provides with useful examples.
