Christopher,
For some reason, E+ has always assumed a fixed pump mechanical efficiency of 78% - it's not editable. I agree that it's abnormally high!
For the purposes of an energy model, the pump efficiency doesn't matter IF.... you align flow rate, 78% and the pump head so that the actual
brake horsepower/ kw results. That's what I'm doing with the little spreadsheet calculation. (The pump head used in that calc will NOT normally be what is shown on mechanical drawings when following this approach.)
Alternatively, I think you could specify the Design Power Consumption. As it happens, I have not tested that field, so I can't tell you much about it.

The first difficulty in the way of the intellect’s functioning well is that it hates to function at all, at any rate beyond the point where functioning begins to require effort. The result is that when any matter arises which is properly the job of the intellect, then either nothing gets done at all, or else the imagination leaps in and does it instead. Can one edit the proposed model .idf to use the pump efficiency shown on the shop drawings?

Dante, Try the attached calculator, adjusting the "W/gpm" value to 11

Hello,
I have a general question redarging how to design HVAC pump with 11 W/gpm per primary and secondary loops in evaporator.
Please advise how a design can achieve that target. Most design that I have seen exceeds that limits becasuse it does not consider head.
