[Equest-users] MZ, heating only

Actually I found out it's a Multi-zone heating only system. For
cooling, the campus only uses the outside air. The damper is throttling
between heating deck and OSA deck. I tried using packaged MZ and put
the DX cooling to a separate meter, crankcase heat to 0 kW and
thermostat to restore default but my heating consumption is 3x the
bills. I think because it's heating the supposedly chilled air although
there is no chilled air other than OSA. Any thoughts or ideas?

Another method:
Don't provide any cooling thermostat schedule to the zone (right click
and select restore default) and set the crankcase heat to 0 kW on
unitary power tab.

Yes, no cooling and it's HW heating, not furnace. However it has zone
dampers.

1. Put the cooling on a separate electric meter so that it does not
report it, or set the cooling thermostat set point to the maximum
allowable value or a combination of these.
2. VVT is an available system type.. not sure if you were asking
because of the no cooling.
3. Utility bill matching is very difficult, you will need to know
more specifics about the schedules of operations, equipment
efficiencies, lighting efficiencies... so on. If it is close +-10% I
would not worry about it, otherwise you will need to massage the model
to fit existing conditions.

Subject: [Equest-users] VVT, heating only
Hi all,
I have a VVT type system but with no cooling, heating only. What kind
of system type I can model that? When I chose the HW furnace with zone
ventilation, the heating consumption was smaller than the utility bill.
If I chose other type of system (package VVT, MZ, etc.), it's assuming
it has some kind of cooling.
Thanks in advance for your help.
