[Equest-users] new to equest, consolidating multiple shells?

Hi All,

I'm new to eQuest (but a current Trnsys user, testing it out for LEED
modeling). Unfortunately for me the building I'm testing it on has no
two floors with the same footprint - nor are they even rectangular. I've
managed to rough out my floors each as a different shell. Some of the
floors have overhangs, so they have exposed floors, others partly with a
floor above and parly with exposed roof. I'm wondering to what extent I
can/should/shouldn't try to consolidate the shells, and fill in the
additional roofs and/or exposed floors. Does this need to be done as far
as the HVAC system is concerned? It's also a very mixed use building (of
course), so the zoning is also less than straightforward. I'm just
trying to get this model as simple as possible. Any advice would be
greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Cramer
