[Equest-users] Building Wall Difference vs. Report Value

Depending on your stud spacing and whether it is metal or wood, you will 
notice that eQuest calculated the effective R-Value for all joist/stud 
assemblies. This is different than the Nominal R-Value of 19 in that 
there is thermal depreciation. This is likely the effective R-Value of a 
metal stud wall, correct? U-0.19 translates to an Effective R-5.3, which 
is not unlikely for a metal assembly.

A wider stud spacing with foam insulation and/or an EIFS system will 
likely bring the effective R-Value up where you would presume it should be.

Shocking isn't it?
