Thank you all for the quick response. I used the suggestions that were
provided and verified that the wizard assumes the total square footage
of the building as the exterior lighting area.
Thanks

The exterior lighting load w/sf input in the Wizard will be multiplied
by the building area (all floors) to become a direct kW load on the
electric meter.
After you finish the wizard, it will be visible on the electric meter
under the Utility & Economics tab in the component tree view. In wizard
mode, you can view it there. In detailed mode, you can edit it there.

I believe that facade area should be used. I would assume eQuest would
calculate the total lighting power based on total wall area. You can
easily check this by specifying 1 W/ft2, attaching a separate meter for
exterior lighting and confirming that the numbers make sense based on
total wall area obtained from the LV-D report . There are also
additional ASHRAE requirements for site lighting.

For exterior lighting, does any one know what area is used when applying
the W/ft2? I do not see a way to define an external lighting area. Any
information on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
