[Equest-users] Solid Dessicant Dehumidifying Options

Everyone, I have examined the help files regarding the Solid Desiccant
Preconditioner and have played around with the Desic Ctrl
Mode/Configuration Option. When I select Option 1 or 2, I can see some
heat exchanger parameters appear. However I don't see any other
parameters that I can adjust. Are there any parameters related to the
desiccant wheel itself (efficiency, motor energy), the extra fan energy
required or the regeneration heater operation? If so, where are they?
And wouldn't there be a place where you specify the exit dewpoint
control temperature like the DESC-DEW-SET that appears in the Liquid
Desiccant Unit?

As an alternative, I could use the Packaged Desiccant option if I could
figure out how to create the performance curves required. I think I know
how to make BI-Quadratic-T curves using Data Input, but I do not
understand why the Package Desiccant wants an exit temperature and
humidity curve based on return temperature wb and outdoor wb. Is the
return temperature wb supposed to represent the air temperature going
through the top half of the desiccant wheel and the outside air wb
represents the outside air going through the bottom half of the
desiccant wheel? If this is correct, are there any default curves in
the Performance Curve Library that I can use? I see there are a number
of "Desc- " type curve fits in the Performance Curve Library , but I
can't figure out what they are and if any are useful for a packaged
solid desiccant system. I think that most of them have to with liquid
desiccant systems and not solid.

If anyone knows how to access/adjust Solid Desiccant parameters that
aren't the heat exchanger parameters, or knows how to find/create curves
for a Packaged Desiccant system, please get in touch. Thanks.
