[Equest-users] GBxml and eQuest

I have used CHVAC (elite software) as the interface between REVIT and eQuest, and I got it to work. But, graphical representation of the building is lost. And, as you mentioned, there is a lot of work to be done once the model is in eQuest.

The only way I've seen to make the gbxml --> inp conversion with my own eyes is through the Green Building Studio (GBS) web application.

GBS lets you sign up for a free trial over a certain period, if you'd like to give it a shot.

That said, I've continuously run into issues with gbxml created via Revit / Sketchup plugins, and have yet to successfully push through an xml model of an actual project that could then be imported into eQuest. My understanding is that if this is achieved, you would be able to open the model up in eQuest post-wizards only and a large number of things such as occupancy schedules, utility rates and the like would be set by the GBS service during the conversion.

I'd be very interested to hear of any other .inp conversion/creation utilities somebody may be aware of.

Has anyone had any luck with getting an .xml file into eQuest? Most posts say it has to be converted into an .inp file first, but I'm not sure what program you need to do that. Thanks!! Katie
