[Equest-users] ACAD

Bruce and Alan,

I've played with this quite a bit and settled on creating a view (AutoCAD
Architecture), referencing whichever construct I want to model and then
create an eQuest layer and trace the necessary vertices with polylines.
This eliminates the clutter and once in eQuest I reference the ACAD file,
check to see where my 0,0,0 vertice point is, change the grid size to the
difference I want to attain (once for x axis then once for y axis) and by
doing that I'm able to move the dwg to right where I want it. When all
that's done I set the grid snap to only the dwg (no polygon or grid snaps)
and I'm then ready to roll with it. It took a few hours the first time I
did it, but having done it quite a few times it's now reasonably quick 'n
easy.
