Here's a quick and incomplete response:

 

I think you're right about modeling solar hot water - I believe that is
something you will need to calculate separately before accounting for
it's effects in your model.  Figure out how much "free" hot water is
produced over the year and subtract that from your eQuest model's demand
schedules correspondingly.  Others may have explained exactly what
means/methods are used for this calculation in the archives - I haven't
done it yet.

 

Photovoltaics are however explicitly model-able in eQuest with a  pretty
high-degree of detail, just not in the wizards (only in detailed mode).
Suggesting exploring the help files and the mailing list archives for
further information.

Dear all,

How can you integrate the effect of solar water heaters SWH? eQUEST
doesn't have the ability to model them. How can I incorporate their
effect in my simulation? Similarly for photovoltaic cells..
Is there any practice you usually do?
