Vipul,

Does the air system have an airside economizer? If so, did you change the economizer low limit in the detailed interface? (Only the upper limit can be changed in the wizard, not the low limit.) The default is 40F, so whenever it gets colder than that outside and there is still a cooling load from internal heat sources, the economizer will shut off and the chiller will come on to meet the load. The smallest number you can enter is 0, but if you delete the 40 and leave the field blank, then there will be no lower limit. See the help screen.

Subject: [Equest-users] Engine Driven Chiller-Gas Cooling Modeling

Hello All,

I am modeling engine driven chiller in eQUEST for multifamily residential building which has Natural Gas as fuel.
I have entered HIR at rated conditions into chiller property window in DD mode. Chiller is the only source for cooling in the model.
When i ran the simulation, i would get space cooling usage in winter months. I don't understand why am i getting space cooling during winter months.
Do anybody has any idea ?

Thanks,
Vipul
