We have been seeing the same things as Bruce.

When DOE-2 does the import, it is gathering information on the angular (and perhaps spectral) performance of the glazing file, but we have not seen it pulling in any data on the window frame from the overall IGU.

We are currently defining window frames explicitly in eQUEST / DOE-2 (ie u-val, material, dimension, spacer type); I am not (yet!) aware of a way to import the Window6 frame / overall unit U-val into eQUEST.

eQuest treats the glass and the frame as separate items.  They are totally different thermodynamically.  There is much more to window glass than just insulation value.  I normally create windows and frames inside eQuest.  You could then just check with window6 to confirm your overall value.  I don't believe many people are having success importing window data from other programs.
