[Equest-users] Packaged Units - Fan Power & cooling EIR

Hi all,

 

Do you know if the EIR (converted from EER or SEER) of packaged units
typically include / exclude supply fan power?  

 

eQUEST has tabs to input the design fan power (kw/cfm) and cooling EIR.  If
the cooling EIR includes supply fan, should fan power be zero?  

 

What I did was: calculate kw/cfm for the supply fan, and put the EIR value
(calculated from EER / SEER).  The result is that the ventilation power
consumption seems to be high compared to a similar building (same system,
size and usage).

 

Any inputs will be appreciated.  Thank you in advance.
