Hi, all
I am new to eQUEST and find myself in the position of having to learn the software and produce a result in the next couple of days. I am sure that many if not all of my queries have been asked and answered before but I am new to the mailing list also so I would appreciate any pointers to previous posts.
The building I am trying to model is a staff accommodation in a theme park in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The main thing I am struggling with is modelling the HVAC systems. The building has VRV split systems deal with the cooling load and a separate DX AHU supplying the fresh air (or DOAS) with a thermal wheel for heat recovery.
As best as I can tell, the way to model this is to create a “dummy” space served by the DOAS (in this case Sys1, a PSZ) and then setting the other spaces (which have a PTAC, Sys2) “Outside Air from System:” to Sys1. I have created a very simple model to try this out with limited success (Sys1 has the correct airflow) but there are too many anomalies for me to think I’ve got it right. Is there a “How-To” or similar that will help me?
I have tried searching the list archives but but couldn’t find a definitive answer and time is running out.
Regards,
Steve Burley
