Position available in SWA's New York/Connecticut Office -

Energy Analyst/Energy Modeler:
Steven Winter Associates, Inc. (SWA) seeks a qualified professional to
provide energy analysis for high performance and green buildings, including
multifamily, commercial, and institutional buildings. Work would primarily
focus on energy modeling in eQUEST/Energy Plus. Energy modeling would
support LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) projects
nationally, NYSERDA Multifamily Program or New Construction Program projects
and LIPA projects in New York. Depending on experience and interest, other
opportunities may be available in energy auditing services and building
performance diagnostics. Opening may be available in SWA’s New York or
Connecticut offices.

Summary of essential job function:
-Enthusiasm for high performance buildings
-Ability to perform energy modeling
-Understanding of building performance and building science, including HVAC
systems
-Knowledge of energy efficiency principles and ASHRAE 90.1-2007
-Aptitude for writing and presenting technical concepts to project team
members
-Ability to organize and run several projects at once
Minimum requirements:
Experience or familiarity with modeling software tools (eQUEST/Energy Plus)
is highly desirable, but detailed training will be provided. Experience or
knowledge of other modeling tools is beneficial, but not required. Candidate
should have experience with high performance buildings and a willingness to
learn. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
