[Equest-users] how to implement Water pumps in parallel in eQUEST?

Tiejun,

Often, a design will show two pumps in parallel but the intent is that they operate lead/lag - never at the same time. If this is the case, just model them as a single pump.

If the design is for both parallel pumps to always run at the same time, you can just model them as a single pump with the same head but with the combined flow rate.

If the design is for parallel pumps to operate in stages, just enter the total number of pumps in the NUMBER –PUMP field.

Regards,

Bill
