[Equest-users] Problem with changing HVAC system in Detailed DataMode

Morteza,

 

Make sure to delete the HW loop, boiler(s) and pump(s) if you are not
assigning any systems/coils/loads to the loop, or you will get an error.
It helps to delete the child components first (boiler pump, then boiler)
before you delete the loop.

Hello all,

I am following the Equest-users Digests for a while and learn allot.
Thanks to every one of you for all your helpful comments and guides.

Now I am working on the energy model of an existing warehouse to be
renovated as an office building. For baseline model, there are five
packaged rooftop VAV systems with Hot-water fossil fuel boiler (System 5
per ASHRAE 90.1). However, for the Design case five rooftop systems with
fossil fuel furnace has been defined. 

I am in Detailed Date Edit and when I change the system heat sources
from Hot Water Loop to Furnace, I get an error (Terminated Due to
Errors). Actually, if I leave just one system heat source as HWL it
would be OK and I don't face any errors, but when all heat sources have
been changed to furnace and there is no Hot water Loop assigned to any
system, there will errors.
