You can create custom constructions with the following layers. You will need to adjust the thickness of the insulation layers slightly to achieve the exact U-factor (inverse of overall R-value), but here is a good starting point:

Roof (see A2.2.1): Built-up roofing, Polystyrene 4 in (R-5/in)
Walls (see A3.3.1): 1" Stucco, 2 in Polystyrene, create a material based on resistance with a R-value of 6.0 to represent the effective R-value of the steel studs plus batt insulation (Table A3.3), 5/8 in gypsum wall board.

Subject: [Equest-users] Materials for baseline design

Hello all,

We are using eQuest for LEED and we are to create a baseline design of our building. Characteristics for baseline construction materials (walls, roof, floor, etc) must be equal to ASHRAE 90.1 (for our zone it is table 5.5-6, p.24) data:

Roof - Insulation entirely above deck - U-0.048 / R-20.0 c.i.
Walls - Steel framed - U-0.064 / R-13.0+R-7.5c.i.
Slab-on-grade floors - unheated - F-0.540 / R-10 for 24 in.

Can anyone help to choose appropriate consructions/materials from eQuest screen?
We are not sure what to choose as we are located in Europe and use another parametrs and names.

Thank you!

Kseniya L.
