[Equest-users] how to serve same zone with two different AHU.

Hi Ashok!

You're driving against a fundamental limitation of DOE2/eQuest... Your
workaround options depend on what exact situation you're trying to
emulate.

Example: If I am modeling a bedroom which has a window condensing unit
(thermostat in the room), but is also served by a central HVAC
furnace/AC (thermostat elsewhere), I might choose to split the bedroom
into two spaces, separated by an air wall. This approximates the room
as two spaces thermally connected as one, but permits the assignment of
multiple systems onto the room (and correct locations of their
thermostats). I can ensure all the envelope/solar/skin loads are on one
half, to be handled by the window unit, by carefully selecting where to
split the space.

That may be an acceptable approach for your current case, but if not,
you'll need to supply us with more info about what systems are and why
the above won't work.

Best of luck,

~Nick
