[Equest-users] How to create multiple homes within a community

Hi Yusuf. I would suggest a couple of ways of doing this.
1. Create each building and villa as a separate project. Then add up
the results in a spreadsheet, multiplying for the number of each villa. If
the villas are not all the same orientation, you'll need to change the
orientation around and re-run for each orientation.
2. If for some reason you need everything in one model (e.g. they are
served by a central plant, or a common utility rate structure that can't be
approximated individually), then its a bit more complicated. Save the villas
with different orientations as separate projects as well. Then use shell
multiplier to multiply each villa by the appropriate amount. Make sure you
use a different shell component prefix and HVAC component prefix for each
project. The use import to import each project into a common project.

Subject: [Equest-users] How to create multiple homes within a community
Dear Members
I am new to e-quest and I find it difficult to understand
how I can model a large housing community. We are trying to model a project
which has 325 villas of 6 different types and 5 different common facilities
making it 11 different types of buildings scattered in different parts of
the site. I understand that the DD wizard allows one to model multiple
shells, how do I go about doing this for a 25 acre plot. Also what is the
best zoning pattern to be followed when modelling individual single storied
homes. Many Thanks.
