[Equest-users] FW: equest errors and settings

Everyone, we are still having errors on our troublesome PC running
eQuest. We tried Robby's suggestion of turning on the Windows XP Service
Pack 2 and the PC ran the eQuest model file several times successfully
and then stopped. Does anyone have any ideas? We are stumped. The eQuest
model file does run with eQuest 3.64 combined with Vista on other 64 bit
PCs in our office, so as far as I can tell, the model files are fine.

Thanks in advance.

Robby, you are correct! I changed the eQuest compatibility in the
properties to Windows XP Service Pack and off it went. Thank you so
much.

I've received this error on Windows 7 machines. It is fixed by right
clicking on eQUEST, going to Compatibility tab, and running the program
in Compatibility Mode for Windows XP Service Pack 3. I assume Vista has
a similar feature.

Everyone, we are having issues getting a particular eQuest Wizard model
to run on a certain set of computers. We can run this model in eQuest
3.64 and 3.63b on other Vista 64 bit operating system computers in the
office, so we are pretty sure it is not a Vista problem. The attached
file is a computer that successfully runs the eQuest Wizard model. The
JPEG image shown below shows the specs for a computer that does not
successfully runs the eQuest Wizard model in either 3.64 or 3.63b. Both
computers use Vista and both are 64 bit operating systems. We have
discovered that the error message occurs on another computer we have in
the office with the same parameters as listed below. Does anybody know
what is going on and how do we fix it? Waiting for eQuest 3.65 to maybe
fix the problem is not a successful option.

Thanks.

Here is a summary.

I installed Equest 3.63b on Nick's computer and he still gets "an
invalid argument encountered".

His computer specs below. I also installed Equest 3.63b on computer
similar to Niks's (same specs) and I received same error "an invalid
argument encountered".

Thanks

Here are the two errors that come up when I try to open my equest file.
Also attached are the settings under properties that seemed to have
fixed it earlier.

Thanks for the help.

Nick
