*COME AND JOIN US!*
*WHOLE BUILDING SIMULATION USING eQUEST
REQUIRED FOR LEED, ESTIDAMA AND QSAS COMPLIANCE*
<http://greentechno.ae/registrationform.html>
*Target Participants:*
- Energy Simulators modeling for LEED® , ASHRAE, Estidama and QSAS
- Energy Simulators with less than 3 years modeling experience
- New users of eQuest
*Learning Overview:*
- Understand the capabilities of the DOE2.2 simulation engine to perform
compliance analysis and establish a performance baseline (LEED Compliance
willbe discussed in depth)
- Learn input strategies for complex HVAC systems in eQuest and perform
system ECMs (Energy Conservation Measures) for increased energy savings.
- Understand how to evaluate results and perform Quality Control checks
for “realistic” data.
*Learning Objectives:*
- Create a building model using a wizard-template for inputs and
switching a detailed edit mode to refine the model with design details
creating a baseline to work with and analyze.
- Perform ECM analyses using parametric inputs in eQuest or using
alternative simulation strategy.
- Work with DOE2.2 reports to verify integrity of simulation results.
- How to troubleshoot common “glitches” and errors within the simulation
program and eQuest user interface.
*Participant Requirements:*
Personal Laptop installed with eQuest v. 3.64.
*Course Fee:*
*The fee per participant would be $900 for 2 days, the 23rd and 24th of
October 2012 at The Dubai World Trade Club, UAE. Group discount available;
please* *enquire.*<tanvi at greentechno.ae?cc=talktous at greentechno.ae%20&subject=eQuest%20-%20GT%20Websites>

*Faculty*
*Mario Seneviratne
FIMechE, PEng, LEED Fellow,
LEED AP (BD+C), MIEEE, MASHRAE
Director
Green Technologies FZCO*
A Professional Engineer with more than 34 years experience in Sustainable M
& E Engineering and a decade in LEED Facilitation, Mario has delivered a
number of LEED Green Buildings in the Middle East and Asia. With
specialization in Sustainable HVAC Design, Construction, Operations and
Maintenance, his passion has led him to integrate many features to achieve
energy and water conservation in numerous residential, industrial and
commercial buildings. Mario is a Founder and Past Secretary of the Emirates
Green Building Council and has also served as Secretary to the World Green
Building Council. He was also a Member of the USGBC LEED Version 1
Development Committee and continues to Advocate and Deliver Green Projects
around the globe. With a practice based in Dubai, Mario has by now trained
hundreds of professionals from dozens of organizations within the region on
LEED and Natural Resource Conservation. He is currently involved in
actualizing two Net Zero Energy Projects, the next level of Sustainable
Building Design and Construction.
*Reniel Barroso BSc.Mech.Eng, MASHRAE MAEE, LEED Accredited Professional
Project Manager — Energy
Green Technologies FZCO*
An 8 year HVAC Design Engineer turned Energy Engineer and Modeler who
specializes in energy simulation of buildings, especially those that aspire
to become LEED Certified. Through energy modeling, in addition to his HVAC
system design capabilities and being a LEED AP, It is also his task to make
sure that the project is energy code and standard compliant and pushes the
efficiency of the system to the highest possible. Other than mechanical
systems, he has already crossed the boundary of electrical systems such as
lighting and low voltage power in relation to building energy consumption.
He has been trained together with his energy modeling team to use
VisualDOE, eQuest and Design Builder for Green Technologies energy modeling
work and CFD simulation for the last 4 years and continues to expand his
expertise.
