[Equest-users] Reflectivity analysis in eQuest

Nimesh,

Depending on the accuracy you are looking for, eQuest can roughly simulate interior reflectance, but it is not the most accurate, i.e. it limits the amount of bounces it calculates. Therefore, I recommend lighting specific software such as Radiance. It is free but difficult to use. AGi32, and other programs like it, apply a front end to Radiance which makes it easier to learn. It is also more accurate than eQuest.

Thanks,

Subject: [Equest-users] Reflectivity analysis in eQuest

Dear Friends,

I want to analyze effect of reflectivity of lights on the energy consumption for particular building? Can we do this kind of analysis in eQuest?

What I will like do is - Select different types of flooring materials and that will probably have different reflectivity in the area and that may affect the energy consumption. Will it work?

Does any body have other ideas?

Thanks,

Nimesh Prajapati
